Hey brothers and sisters! I have something new that the Lord revealed to me last week when I was reading my Bible. I was reading Ephesians and I came upon verses 13 and 14 in chapter one. Let me read this scripture.
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
Normally, I use the NKJV in my teachings, but I was reading my NIV Bible when I got this revelation that came to me like an instant epiphany. When I read, ‘you are marked with a seal’ and then the verse reveals that the seal is the Holy Spirit, I was then reminded of Revelation 7:1-4.
After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
It was then that I understood that the seal is the Holy Spirit. The 144,000 are sealed with the Holy Spirit. The forehead is a representation of the mind and part of what makes up our inner spirit. When Matthew 12:34 says, ‘For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,’ it is not referring to the physical heart, but of the spirit which is in the mind. So too this verse of Revelation 7 that speaks of the seal being upon the forehead is symbolic of the seal of the spirit.
The Holy Spirit is given to us for our guidance, our understanding and revelation, for our protection…and in the context of Revelation 7, the Holy Spirit seal is for our protection. It is saying that only those who are sealed by the Holy Spirit will be protected from the destruction that comes upon the earth and the unsealed.
Anyone who says they believe in Jesus, but have rejected the Holy Spirit and being a new creation in Christ are rejecting the seal and protection from the judgments. This is why many will be left behind at the time of the Rapture.
Many times throughout the New Testament, we are told we must become a new creation, born again, in Christ. This is only possible with the Holy Spirit as He is the one who changes us from the inside out. He gives us a new mind, a new spirit, and a new body. When the Rapture happens, the transformation will be complete as all who have been recreated in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, will be a transformed and completely new creation as a baby who exits its mother’s womb. This is what was spoken by Jesus to Nicodemus in John 3:3-6 and it is the symbolism of Revelation 12:1-5.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
(John 3:3-6)
Revelation 12:1-5
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
The word ‘incorruptible’ was mentioned here and I can’t help but think about what Revelation 14:4 says…
These are the ones who were not defiled…
The scripture of Revelation 14:1-5 is about the 144,000 and that phrase ‘not defiled’ is the same as ‘uncorrupted’ or ‘incorruptible’ and the word ‘undefiled’ is also used in 1 Peter 1:4. So those who are undefiled and uncorrupted are those who are born again of the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit has washed us clean and has purified us in our mind and spirit, we are now undefiled and as long as the Holy Spirit lives within us, we are incorruptible, which means we cannot become corrupted. This is not the same as ‘Once Saved Always Saved’. You could still sin and fall away from Christ as that is your choice. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are never going to force you to do the right things. You must choose to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. Being uncorruptible simply means that no one can corrupt you with false doctrine and lies because the Holy Spirit knows and speaks truth in all things. So as long as the Holy Spirit lives within you, He will always be there to give you truth and help you discern the lies. The 144,000 are led by the Holy Spirit’s truth and follow Jesus wherever He goes.
Revelation 14:4
These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
The word ‘women’ in this verse refers to the sinful, corrupted, false churches that were spoken of in Revelation 1-3. There were letters to seven churches and six of them were judged by Christ and found unworthy. There was only one church that was found worthy of Christ and was praised for keeping His word.
I want to read two more scriptures regarding being born again and then I’ll move into the scriptures of the firstfruits since that is another major identifier of the 144,000.
1 Peter 1:22-23
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…
See! Here he is saying we have obeyed the truth of the Holy Spirit, we have shown sincere love toward one another with a pure heart, and we have been born again through the word of God. In Revelation 3:8, He says we have kept His Word and have not denied His name. Why have we kept His Word? Because 1 Peter 1:22-23 says we were born of His Word and His Spirit. You can’t deny where you came from! That would be like denying who your parents are! In this case, your parents are the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. These are the two that are responsible for purifying you and transforming you, making you a new creation in Christ. If you deny His holy word, printed as the Holy Bible, then you are not of the purified, uncorrupted seed and you are not one of the virgins spoken of in Revelation 14:4.
Romans 8:12-17
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Now lets move to the scriptures about the Firstfruits. This is what identifies the 144,000. For those who don’t already know or haven’t heard, the 144,000 are the Bride of Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23
But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
James 1:18
Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
Again we are told that we have been brought forth by the Word of Truth. To be brought forth means to be created or birthed. The Word of Truth is speaking of God’s holy printed Word, the Word of the Spirit, and Jesus Christ who is called ‘The Word’.
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
This scripture is talking about Jesus being ‘The Word’. It says all things were made through Him. If we go back to James 1:18, that verse says, ‘Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.’ This confirms John 1:1-5 that Jesus is The Word that made or created all things and that those who are of Jesus are His firstfruits. 1 Corinthians 15:23 says Jesus is the firstfruits, but it is illogical to believe that anything that comes from Him is not also firstfruits. He is our Father and we are created in His image and have His Holy Spirit dwelling within us.
Romans 8:22-23
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
So not only are we the firstfruits because we are of Christ who is the firstfruits, but we are also the firstfruits of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:28-30
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”
Again, this is not about ‘Once Saved Always Saved’. Jesus and Paul are telling us that no one and nothing other than you can remove you from Jesus or the Father. As long as you desire to follow and obey the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, you will always have salvation in them. Eternal life will be yours. But if ever YOU choose to disobey and be rebellious toward them, they will let you go to your judgment and your eternal damnation. Your heart, mind, and spirit must be fully surrendered to them. Just take Lucifer and the Fallen Angels for example. They CHOSE to rebel against God and He removed them from their first estate which was Heaven, in the Father’s house.
Romans 11:16-17
For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree…
This scripture proves that if Jesus is the firstfruits, those who belong to Him are also firstfruits.
Now I want to tie all of this together with a couple of scriptures on the transformation.
1 Corinthians 15:50-53
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
I spoke about this earlier. If the Holy Spirit dwells within us and if we are led by the Holy Spirit, we cannot be corrupted. He is the one who transforms us and we must be transformed by the Holy Spirit, which is to be born again. Without this transformation, we cannot enter Heaven. First, we are transformed in spirit and then in the body. A fleshly spirit and a fleshly body cannot have any part in the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 9:16-17
No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
The new wine is the Holy Spirit, the wineskin is the body. A body that has been made new and purified is the only kind of body that can withhold the new wine of the Holy Spirit. This scripture is about being changed into a new vessel for the Holy Spirit to dwell in. An unchanged person with worldly deeds and desires will not obtain or be a vessel for the Holy Spirit. This confirms 1 Corinthians 15:50-53.
For generations, the church pastors have taught that the 144,000 are a group of Orthodox Jews who are only men and who have never lived a worldly life or been touched by women. Though on paper, that’s exactly what it looks like. But all scriptures in the Bible have various levels of revelation and understanding. We cannot read the Word of God with a fleshly mind and a fleshly spirit and think we understand what the Word of God is saying. The words of the Holy Bible may have been written by men, but every word came from the Holy Spirit. And it is only the Holy Spirit who can interpret and reveal His words to us. As Jesus told Nicodemus, ‘That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’ That which is written by the Spirit must be interpreted and revealed by the Spirit. The Word of God interprets and confirms itself, you just have to seek it out.
The Holy Spirit gave me this revelation regarding the Holy Spirit being the seal of the 144,000 last week. I guess He wanted me to wait until the church is celebrating Pentecost to release this because I’ve had some trouble with my laptop all week, which is what delayed me.
The celebration of Pentecost is important. Will this be the day of the Rapture? I don’t know and cannot say.
Personally, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I was born again on June 16th, 2006. That date is 616. In the Strong’s Concordance, G616 is ‘to give birth’ or ‘bring forth’. The day of my spiritual birth literally means ‘to give birth’ or ‘bring forth’. This day was also the day of my wedding and this year my husband and I have been married for 16 years. I’ve been given the number ‘616’ over and over again for many years now and it has become quite significant to me.
I won’t speculate on what day I think the Lord will come because unless He has spoken it, anything we come up with will not be right. But I do believe it may be June or July for several reasons. Personally, I don’t see the Bride being here past July. But that’s just my thought.
The takeaway from this message is that the Bride of Christ is the 144,000 who is sealed with the Holy Spirit. He is the one who purifies us, He is the one who transforms us, and without Him, we are not born again and we have no protection from judgment.
This revelation came from the Holy Spirit right after I was given the dream about Mystery Babylon’s celebration and destruction and was told, ‘Her feasts will turn to mourning.’ So I’m wondering if the Lord is making it clear that this destruction is coming very imminently and wanting us to have the assurance that we are sealed and protected by the Holy Spirit? Or maybe because we are celebrating Pentecost, He is giving us a new revelation about the role of the Holy Spirit and also giving us the understanding that we are sealed.
As with all things, take this to the Lord in prayer for confirmation. God bless each and every one of you. Have a wonderful and happy Pentecost celebration. I hope to see you all in the Father’s house. Shalom.
