As we see Biblical fulfillments taking place in our current world, many have wondered, ‘Are we in the Tribulation?’ We’re like children always asking, “Are we there yet?” Today, on October 17th, 2021, my answer to that question is no. Here’s why.
The Ezekiel 38 War has not happened yet. In Ezekiel 38, an alliance of countries come against Israel in an all out war. The scripture doesn’t say how long this war lasts, but in Ezekiel 39 we are told that the weapons will be burned for seven years and that the fallen bodies will be buried for seven months.
While this war is ongoing, God decides to pour out His wrath upon the earth, upon all the nations that have come against Israel.
Ezekiel 38:18-23
“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’
We have not seen a great earthquake happen in Israel. We have not seen flooding rain, great hailstones (which are not hail at all, but meteors), nor have we seen fire and brimstone occurring. It could happen at any given time, but this is still a future event which must take place prior to the Tribulation.
With the Tribulation being a seven year event and because Ezekiel 39 says they will burn the weapons for fuel for seven years, this cannot happen after the Tribulation has already begun or in the middle of the Tribulation. There will be no need to burn weapons for fuel after the Tribulation as the Lord will be starting His rule and reign upon the earth and the New Jerusalem will have come down. Revelation 22:5 says, ‘There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.’ And if there’s no need for the light of the sun, there should also be no need for fuel and for what fuel is used for. All things are going to be new. There will be no more man-made things for us to worship or distract ourselves with. We will be giving ourselves to God and the things of God.
The second thing is, the Two Witnesses have not appeared in Jerusalem at the Temple Mount and they have not been given God’s supernatural powers.
The Two Witnesses will stand at the Temple Mount for 42 months, preaching to the Jews and they will be seen by all people all over the world via television or internet news. This will not be an event that anyone is going to miss.
Then at the end of the 42 months, they are killed.
Revelation 11:7
When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
It is unclear whether this beast is the Antichrist. It could be the beast of the New World Order. But however these Two Witnesses are killed, they will come at the start of the Tribulation and witness for 42 months. This too is a future event.
The third and last reason that the Tribulation has not yet begun is because the Antichrist (the man) has not risen to power.
I know many believe that the Antichrist does not rise to power until the middle of the Tribulation, but this is false.
Daniel 8:8-14
Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down. Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.
Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?”
And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.”
Ok, so we know that the ‘Little Horn’ is the Antichrist. He is referenced as the ‘little horn’ in Daniel 7:8. He will take away the daily sacrifices at the temple in Jerusalem and he will defile this temple by setting up the abomination of desolation and this will go on for 2300 days which is 76.6 months or 6.38 years.
The Antichrist will also confirm a peace treaty or covenant with many for seven years. However, in the middle of that seven years, he goes back on his word nulling the contract or covenant.
Daniel 9:27
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
So from the time he rises and takes power, confirms the covenant with many, and then puts an end to sacrifice and offering to the time the temple is cleansed, which will be when Jesus returns at the end of the Tribulation, it will take 2300 days which is 6.38 years. This means that he must rise to power either at or near the beginning of the Tribulation. It is only at the middle of the Tribulation that he defiles the temple, after putting an end to sacrifice and offering, causes the abomination of desolation, and claims to be god.
These three events that I have mentioned are still yet future events. Until they have taken place, we can not say we are in the Tribulation. And for those who say we are at the mid point of the Tribulation, I would like to know how you’re arriving at that conclusion and how we missed the Biblical fulfillments that are supposed to bring about the Tribulation.
We can clearly see that we are extremely close to the Tribulation’s beginning. The Mark of the Beast is on the scene, the New World Order Beast is rising, Famine, War, and Persecution are imminent. The plague of Revelation 6 has already reared its head and taken many lives. And at this time, we see volcanoes erupting all over the world and the threat of a tsunami on America’s Eastcoast is looming. This assures us the Tribulation is coming very soon.
Over the many years of my salvation, the Lord has assured me that there is a pre-tribulation Rapture for His Bride and He has given many in the Body of Christ, revelations and dreams of Him coming to rescue us. We have no reason to doubt that this is true. We must remain in faith, being faithful to Him always, and we must continue in our hope that He is coming at any given moment to take us home. Don’t give up believing and don’t let the enemy persuade you otherwise. Remain firmly in Christ and we will see him soon.
I hope this helped clear things up and I hope it gives you a better view of where we are and what we should expect to see at the start of the Tribulation if we should still be here.
Thank you for watching. God bless each and every one of you. Shalom.
